Our physical
access control company was founded in 1975.
We are a UK leading manufacturer in the specialised
field of Access Control, Attendance Management,
and Data Collection Systems. We were the first
company in Europe in 1977, to offer a fully
integrated PC based approach employing a full
range of custom-designed access control card
readers and access control computer software.
We
were quick to foresee the change in direction
of the Access Control industry, and invested
substantial funding, research and development
in not only keeping up with the industry changes,
but to be at the forefront, an example being
the security design behind our Secure
Mifare Smart Card reader.
The Access Control industry has been rapidly
converging with IT, and as a result we have
developed the worlds first CAN based Access
Control system. This has enabled a high level
of integration with existing IT technologies,
and allowed us to develop new systems using
the vast expanse of benefits modern IT provides.
We
have developed a fully integrated approach to
Access Control that delivers all the benefits
of Access Control to your existing IT infrastructure.
This makes our systems easier to install, integrate,
manage and maintain. This has also reduced the
cost of ownership, making your access control
system more affordable.
We
develop all of our systems in-house, and can
provide bespoke system development for almost
any application, enabling you to offer more
to our customers who sometimes require more
than an "out of the box" approach. The benefits
of in-house development also mean local support
and service is always at hand.
We
are committed to providing high quality, innovative
solutions, and are the first and only (at this
time) Access Control Manufacturer to hold the
prestigious "Secured by Design" award. Secured
by design company status is awarded to those
companies producing security products that pass
standards and tests nominated by the police
service as "Police Preferred Specification".
Borer has, and complies to ISO9000 standards.
